This page is dedicated to past pupils of
our school, who have gone on to achieve
tremendous success, in a variety of fields,
since leaving our school.
Richard O’Shea, the BT Young Scientist of 2010, taking home a
trophy and a cheque for €5,000. He won the top prize in the BT Young
Scientist and Technology Exhibition with his design of an innovative
biomass oven designed for use in developing countries.

Vincent Foley won first prize in the Senior Individual Section in the Chemistry, Physical & Mathematical Sciences Category at the
Esat Telecom Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in January
1999. He also won the Intel Excellence Award.

Mick Flannery is an Irish singer - songwriter. He has had a number
of great musical achievements including winning two categories of the
International Songwriting competition in Nashville, Tennessee. He also
has a platinum selling album 'White Lies' and won Best Male in the 2009

Brian Sheehan has won Munster Hurling Championship medals at minor U21, junior and intermediate level. He has played in All-Ireland Finals in three grades, minor, junior and intermediate and holds junior and intermediate All-Ireland Medals won in 1994 and 1997 respectively. For good measure he also played on the 1990 Cork Minor Football Team.
Pat Kiely has worked for some of the top Michelin star
restaurants and chefs, including Marco Pierre in London.
He now has an award winning restaurant called
'Les Gourmandises', on Cook st in Cork.
